The breakfast at this hotel was absolutely fantastic - one of the best we've ever had! The staff serving the breakfast were friendly and efficient, and the selection of food was impressive. They had everything from fresh fruit to a variety of hot dishes, and everything was cooked to perfection. It really set us up for the day ahead. We were pleasantly surprised by the value for money as well - the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the breakfast. The attention to detail in the presentation of the food was also commendable, with everything arranged beautifully and appealingly.
All in all, our stay at this hotel was absolutely fine.

The room was excellent, the breakfast was nice. The friendly atmosphere when you walk in. Here we stayed 2 miles from eastgate clock. It was definitely 3 stars for us...

The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. the location was perfect, with plenty of shops, pubs, and restaurants within easy walking distance. Being able to park easily and find the hotel easily from the main road was a definite plus.
While they were acceptable, a little more attention to detail in the cleaning process would have been appreciated. the room we stayed in was quite small, with limited space and a cramped bathroom.

Good location, about 30mins walk to centre. Staff attentive & friendly. Decent breakfast. Parking. Quiet. Short walk to Hoole shops and the best chinese restaurant in Chester (apparently!)
We stayed in the annex. We had all mod cons but the bathroom was looking slightly tired although adequate. The room itself would benefit from a facelift but was comfortable. Apparently they are to be re-furbished end of 2010.

The motel style rooms, couldn't hear any noise at all from neighbouring rooms or above. Excellent friendly local staff who could recommend good pubs for meals. Very good breakfast. Big plus having iron and ironing board and hairdryer in each room. Overall very good small hotel which I would recommend and stay in again.
They were having the kitchen refurbushed but didn't tell us beforehand, I think that this was very poor as this was a major factor of choosing the hotel that they did evening meals as its alot easier when you have a young child.

The breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of options to choose from. The staff at the hotel were friendly and efficient. The location of the hotel was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and a safe and quiet environment.
The rooms were not well maintained, with signs of neglect and lack of cleanliness. The bathroom in particular had issues with mold and dirty surfaces.

The staff were extremely helpful, the food was excellent and although there were no evening meals they made sandwiches and chips whenever required. A very homely hotel and we will hopefully visit again.
The bathroom could have been a little tidier, tiles around the bath especially, but that is all.
